Autumn/Winter 2006

Images from around Taralga.

Drought resumed its hold from autumn onwards ensuring a dry, frosty winter with almost no snow and well below average rainfall. Severe frosts continued into spring ensuring a horror season for horticulture/viticulture in many parts of SE Australia.

Severe frost is more common during drought as there is no ground moisture to inhibit radiational cooling at night.
