Instability on the Tablelands

Sunday January 5, 2003
A maturing thunderstorm north of my home. An intriguing little updraft I was presented with about 20km up the road towards Oberon. This base stayed right where it was for about 40 minutes and just kept pulsing away and getting blown off in the middle levels. You can see one of the pulses going up in this shot (and the former one being blown away to the east) and as they would go up the whole thing would rotate for a period as you can see by the fold coming around the southern side here.

Development continues over the hill.
